Biodiesel

While it may not be immediately noticeable in our daily lives, our planet’s environment is currently in a very bad state. And things will only get worse if we do not make some major changes to the way we live and operate. Among one of the worst polluters of our time is fossil fuel emissions. But thanks to some excellent research and development efforts, we now have some excellent opportunities to start righting a lot of our wrongs. One of the best efforts that we have made towards a cleaner environment is biodiesel.

Essentially, biodiesel is any diesel fuel that was derived from some type of bio mass, whether it be from solid biomass (such as live or decayed trees and grasses), liquid fuels (such as bioethanol and even fuels that have originated from vegetable oil) or bio gases.

Biodiesel continues to prove to be one of the best options we have for not only a much cleaner burning source of fuel, but also for a renewable energy resource. And the fact that we have been so heavily dependent on our fossil fuels and petroleum based fuels and are actually starting to run low on certain natural resources, it is definitely great news that we can now look forward to some renewable energy and fuel sources.

While this special type of diesel fuel has not quite yet achieved as a widespread a use as we would all like, it is quickly gaining ground and proving to be one of our best chances for a much cleaner environment in the future.
